Since 2014, Richard Walker's has been serving breakfast in La Jolla from our home at 909 Prospect Street, right in the heart of The Village. Locals stop in before work, families gather on weekends, and visitors fuel up before a walk to the Cove to see the sea lions, just minutes away.
Everything starts from scratch each morning: batters mixed daily, Grade AA eggs, fresh, locally sourced ingredients and our award-winning house coffee. Come for the Baked Apple Pancake we're known for, or explore crêpes, four-egg omelets and our Mexican breakfast favorites. Breakfast and lunch are served all day, every day, from 6:30am to 2:30pm.

What are your hours in La Jolla?
We're open every day from 6:30am to 2:30pm, and breakfast and lunch are served all day.
Do you take reservations?
No. Seating is first come, first served, and the line moves fast. For a big group, call ahead at (858) 459-8800.
Where do I park?
There's metered street parking around The Village and several public garages nearby.
Do you have outdoor seating?
Yes. We have patio seating out front on Prospect Street.
Is Richard Walker's good for groups?
Yes. We have generous seating for groups of all sizes. For larger parties, call ahead so we can get ready for you.
Can I order takeout or delivery?
Yes, every day from 6:30am to 2:30pm. Ordering directly through our website gets you our regular menu prices with no third-party markups, plus live tracking and text updates. You can also schedule an order ahead. Delivery orders are paid by credit or debit card.
Do I earn rewards on online orders?
Yes. Orders placed through our website earn loyalty points in La Jolla, along with our Del Mar and Carlsbad locations.
Do you cater events and office breakfasts?
Yes. Catering is hot and fresh, typically $18 to $25 per person, with 48 hours' notice. Order online through our catering page.

Our Story
Richard Walker Sr. opened the first Richard Walker's in 1989 in Schaumburg, Illinois, carrying on his family's breakfast tradition from the Walker Bros. pancake houses. Today the company is led by Richard Walker Jr. and remains family owned, family operated and independent.
Richard Walker Jr. opened our La Jolla doors on Prospect Street in 2014, bringing oven-baked pancakes to The Village. More than a decade later, it's still the same idea: every dish made to order with fresh ingredients, house-made batters and syrups, and a warm welcome at the door.
