Why We’re Better
Richard Walker’s Pancake House continues the Walker family tradition by embracing a menu with a multitude of choices and unbeatable service. Our recipes demand only the finest ingredients: USDA 93-score butter, pure heavy whipping cream, the freshest locally sourced Grade AA eggs, and hard wheat unbleached flour. All batters are made fresh on the premises in our on-site commissaries so be assured you’re enjoying the finest breakfast creations possible.

Our lingonberries have the perfect balance of sweetness and tartness after ripening on the vine in the summer of northern Sweden where the summer sun never sets.

Our Havarti cheese is shipped in from Denmark where even the cows smile! This cheese ages beautifully and takes on a mild, nutty flavor.

Our bacon, sausages, hickory smoked ham and Canadian bacon are custom made for our operations only by local farms, and our fresh produce is sourced from local farmers as available.

What’s up with the Rabbit?
In cultures throughout the world, the rabbit symbolically indicates comfort, abundance and family. Richard Walker’s Pancake House has chosen the symbol of the rabbit to say “Welcome Home.” We hope any time you see the Richard Walker’s rabbit, you find comfort and feel right at home.

A Family Recipe Worth Sharing
Our Biscuits and Gravy are more than a menu item; they tell a story. The recipe was created by one of our brilliant General Managers’ moms, specially made for Richard Walker’s with a flavorful turkey substitution and two freshly baked biscuits. It has been a guest favorite year after year, and we are proud to make it part of our seasonal tradition once again, bringing a comforting taste of home to every table.
Served piping hot and made fresh to order, this dish combines homestyle flavors with our signature breakfast charm and attention to detail. The creamy turkey gravy pairs perfectly with the flaky, buttery biscuits, while two eggs and a side of crispy hash browns complement the plate beautifully. Together, they create a satisfying balance of flavors—a savory contrast to our sweet Pumpkin Pancakes that rounds out the perfect holiday breakfast experience for family and friends alike.

Pumpkin Pancakes Are Back and Better Than Ever

There is something special about fall mornings, the crisp air, cozy sweaters, and the warm scent of pumpkin spice drifting through the kitchen. At Richard Walker’s Pancake House that feeling comes to life the moment we flip our first stack of Pumpkin Pancakes for the season.
Made with our signature buttermilk batter prepared daily from scratch and enriched with pumpkin butter from our local partner Jackie Jam, these pancakes capture everything we love about autumn: warmth, comfort, and the perfect balance of spice and sweetness. Each stack is finished with a generous dollop of our house-whipped butter for that unmistakable touch of East Coast hospitality.
Looking for pumpkin pancakes near you? Step inside Richard Walker’s, where every plate feels like home. From the first pour of coffee to the last bite, our San Diego team brings warmth, comfort, and a touch of fall to every table.

A Jam Worth Keeping: Richard Walker’s Seasonal Favorites Are Here to Stay
Back in December, just as the holidays were in full swing, we quietly introduced a collection of handcrafted jams, intended as a cozy, festive offering for the season. But something happened.
You fell in love with them.
And now, what began as a seasonal experiment has earned a permanent spot on our shelves. Our Richard Walker’s Signature Jams are still here, and they’re not going anywhere.
Meet the Favorites That Stuck Around
Tripleberry Jam: A lush mix of strawberries, blackberries, raspberries, and currants. It’s bright, bold, and a perfect companion for pancakes, toast, or even stirred into plain yogurt.
Pumpkin Butter: Originally meant for chilly mornings, this warm, spiced spread has become a surprise year-round favorite. It’s made with real pumpkin, cane sugar, and orange juice concentrate — a hug in a jar.
Spicy Raspberry Jam: Sweet […]
